For sale is a wonderful and beautiful table lamp made in the LCT Tiffany Favrile tradition. It is an Art Nouveau or what I call a "Frog Mirror" and art glass Calla Lily shade. The lamp is a nice desk size as it stands 12 1/2" tall to the top of the shade just peeking above the mirror and 15" wide with shade installed.
The frame is made of solid bronze with a Tiffany Studios Verdi green brown style patina. It displays a Frog sitting on a lily pad looking at a waterlily with cattails to the right. Above the frog and to the left side is a Dragonfly sitting on a Cattail and Iris flower. This frame surrounds a round mirror for reflection. A stem rises just above the left hand side and over the top of the mirror. It holds an art glass shade in what we call a lily fitter. The shade is split at the end to resemble a Calla Lily flower. This shade is just beautiful as it has a green feather pull outlined in gold decoration against a calcite white body. It has a gold Aurene Favrile iridescence finish inside. The shade is as good an any lily shade made by Tiffany Studios or Steuben Glass Company.
This lamp is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no dents or dings to the metal. The mirror and the shade is also in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks or chips. The shade is signed R.A.P. for Renaissance Art Products. This was a company in business from the 70's until the early 90's out of Michigan. I know they did not make this shade as it was made by Lundberg Studios. This lamp shows minor signs of wear. The lamp has been tested and works just fine. I have a blue Calla Lily shade in a separate sale you can use instead of this one for a small up charge.
This is a quality art glass and bronze table lamp. It would look great in a brownstone or arts and crafts style home. I'm quite sure the buyer will be very pleased with this table lamp. This lamp was made in the early 90's. There is no doubt that this shade was made specifically for this base and is not a marriage!! It fits perfectly.
I recommend using no more than a 15 watt bulb as this a nice accent lamp. There are vent spaces in the lily fitter to allow the heat to escape. When assembling this lamp, I also recommend that you gently push in the lily shade until you feel it click in.
