For sale is a set of 4 wonderful art glass lighting shades by the Quezal Glass and Decorating Company of Masbeth (Queens) Long Island, NY. These are some of the finest quality art glass shades you can purchase. Each one of the shades are stands approximately 5 1/2" tall and have a diameter of 4 5/8". The fitter neck is 2 1/8" and will fit any standard 2 1/4" fitter.

The shades have a unique high shoulder shape with a deep ruffled bottom or floriform (flower form) edge. The shades are decorated with a beautiful Blue Hooked Feather pattern on a calcite white body with a gold iridescence interior. The Blue Hooked Feather pattern extends 3/4 of the way down the shade and the blue feathers are outlined in gold to complete the balance of this wonderful set.

The shades are all signed "Quezal" in the fitter collar and are almost perfect with no cracks, or major chips. One shade has a shallow flake on the inside fitter and the other has a minor nick also in the fitter area. These are pictured and cannot be seen when displayed in the fitter.

This is a quality set that has seemed to have traveled together. One seems more purple but it is because of the light I was using above that side to light all 4 of them. To find a pair of these is common, a set of three occasionally, a set of 4 is almost unheard of. This is a wonderful matching set of 4 which is quite a find in itself. These shades were made circa 1902-1910.
