For sale I have a beautiful vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Zephyr Lily" and the shape is known as a rose or floral bud vase. It is done in the most desirable green background glaze. The vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 7 3/8" tall and is 3 7/8" in diameter at the foot.

The vase displays a round foot with a wide stem rising up from the middle. The opening is large enough to accommodate several stemmed flowers. The vase is accented with 2 attractive handles that extend from the middle of the bud vase down to the waist at the area that flairs out as you get closer to the bottom. There are two embossed Lily flowers, one on each side. One is pink and the other is a yellow Zephyr Lily. They both show nice raised sage green stems that wrap through the flowers and extend all the way up the vessel. They almost touch the rim on both sides. This is truly a lovely vase.

This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips. nicks or dings. You can see some very light crazing upon close inspection. This is quite common for this glaze as well. The vase is signed on the bottom with "Roseville U.S.A." raised relief mark along with the mold number 201-7", also in raised relief. There is also the letter "K" written in grease pencil. This was more than likely the finishers mark. This is a nice example of this form. I'm sure those of you who do not have this pattern in this shape will surely welcome it to your Zephyr Lily art pottery collection.

This piece was made circa 1946-1950.
