For sale is a wonderful original bronze table lamp made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The base is called a "Decorated Boudoir" table lamp with an original Tiffany Favrile Gold Damascene shade. The base is done in Tiffany's Studios most sought after red, green, brown patina. The bronze lamp with shade and heat cap mounted stands 14 1/2" tall to the top of the finial on the heat cap. The lamp has a diameter of 7 1/2" outside arms measurement but the shade is 7" in diameter and 4 1/2" tall. The foot of the base has a diameter of 4 3/4".

The table lamp displays an original Tiffany Favrile 7" Gold Damascene art glass shade on a 3 arm decorated and patinated bronze base. This lamp base is one of the moist desired of the Tiffany Studios boudoir table lamps. It was certainly one of the fanciest. The base displays a squat ribbed gourd form that has decorated wire work in a scroll pattern on the top of the ribbed foot. There are 6 of these scrolls where each one's wire work continues up the shaft of the base to just under where it meets its 3 arm shade support or spider. There is a bell socket with its original GE Co paddle turnkey switch with mica insulator mounted above this. This all rests on a platform with 5 small feet underneath.

The base is fitted with a Tiffany Favrile 7" Gold Damascene art glass shade. The exterior of the shade has wavy bands of 2 tones of gold iridescence with fuchsia highlights. These bands surround the entire shade flowing horizontally on a slight angle from the top to the bottom. The shade when lit has a wonderful wave pattern effect with the glass. The entire exterior of the shade has an iridescent or luster metallic look, yet it is glass. The shade interior has a wonderful translucent clams broth cased liner. When the shade is unlit you can see beautiful hues of fuchsia in the iridescent finish. This shade looks great, both lit and unlit.

The base is considered to be in very good to excellent condition. The base retains all of its original fitter screws, center screw for bottom plate and all of its feet. It still retains its original electric plug, and GE Co paddle switch with mica insulator. This mica denotes this as an early lamp. The base is properly signed with the "Tiffany Studios New York" and its model number "326" impressed mark. It has been professionally rewired with the replica brown rayon lamp cord. When I found it has this base still had its original rayon cord with plug but badly frayed. I opened the base plate on the bottom and could tell that it has never been replaced since it was made. This base is as 100% original with all its parts as it could possibly be. There is only minor patina wear to one of the arms.

The shade is in excellent condition as there isn't even a flea nick on the top fitter area. The shade is signed on the inside fitter neck with "L.C.T." etched mark for "Louis Comfort Tiffany". As an added bonus the shade also has the number "1047" lightly etched on the flat top fitter area. This is also as good as a signature as it was Tiffany's way of marking his early art glass lighting shades. The lamp is finished with a heat cap resting on the raised neck that looks just like the original.

This is a quality original Tiffany Studios Bronze Decorated base with an original Tiffany Gold Favrile Damascene 7" shade. This table lamp is guaranteed to be 100% original except the heat cap and brown rayon cord. I believe this lamp to have been early in Tiffany Studios production based on the socket interior and the number on the top rim of the shade and inside liner. I would say this Tiffany Studios original art glass and bronze table lamp was made circa 1900-1903.
