LCT

Sold

For sale is a very lovely piece of art glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The item is a gold "Floriform Bud" vase. The vase is done in LCT Tiffany's highly sought after Gold Favrile iridescent glass. The bud vase is a nice size as it stands 10" tall and has a diameter of approximately 3 1/4" at it widest point. The foot has a diameter of 3 1/4".

The floriform vase displays a very nice shape that resembles the center trumpet of a Daffodil flower. The form sits on a round platform and has vertical ribbing and a strong gold iridescent finish. The foot has beautiful fuchsia hues to it. The vase looks metallic yet it is glass. There is vertically ribbing that starts at the bulb just above the platform and rises up to the top and rolls over. You can see great detail in the ribbing. The gold iridescence is brilliant and evenly colored.

The bud vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The vase has very minor calcium deposit inside the bulbous portion at the bottom of the stem. The vase is properly signed in a counter clockwise fashion. It is the etched Script Signature mark which reads "L.C. Tiffany-Favrile" as well as the shape number "1730". This piece was made circa 1910-1920.

This is a quality piece of art glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Gold Favrile, Aurene iridescence is just outstanding!! This is a very nice example of this form and color. It is amazing that this vase has survived over 95 years without getting any kind of damage. Those of you who collect the Gold Favrile, Aurene Flower Forms will surely welcome this fine addition.
