Weller

Sold

For sale is a very nice vase made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Patricia" and the form is an flower vase. This vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 5 1/4" tall and 5 1/8" in diameter outside head measurements.

This form displays a beautiful speckled brown and tan glaze for the body of the vessel. There are wonderful moss green glaze runs dripping from the leaves in the center of each side. These The vase is further decorated with 2 Mallard Duck head shaped faux handles on the top side of the vessel. This same glaze is also covering the head. The vase has a volcano shape with a wide waist and tapered bottom. There are raised cattails at the bottom on each side where the handles are.

This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece is signed on the bottom with the "Weller" incised mold script signature mark. This is a wonderful piece of art pottery and I'm sure one will welcome this addition to their Patricia or Duck pottery collection. This vase was made circa 1935-1948.
